Blackberry Bramble cocktails are delightfully juicy and balanced, mixing the punch of blackberries with the earthiness of herbs and the brightness of lemon.
With our exceptional Blackberry Lemon drink, you can recreate this yummy beverage and swap out the harmful alcohol for THC-infused seltzer. Sip on this sensational melding of flavors and lean into a fun buzz rather than an alcohol headache.
When to Make This Recipe
One of the best things about blackberry’s flavor is how versatile it is. This flavor can work for cozy fall and winter recipes, as well as refreshing spring and summer foods. Our Blackberry Bramble Mocktail can be a decadent drink to go with Thanksgiving dinner or a refreshing, fruity drink to sip by the pool during a heat wave.
We love to make this for Halloween as well because the rich purple hue feels spooky. It’s the perfect cocktail for a chilly winter night or a steamy summer day, so consider it an all-season drink!
Whether you’re California sober or just have an early day tomorrow, this alcohol-free drink will hit the spot. It’ll leave you feeling floaty and giggly, and your tastebuds will be just as delighted.
The Best Way to Serve This Mocktail
The best way to serve this drink is in a tall Collins glass that can hold 14 ounces. However, you can serve it in any glass that can hold at least 14 ounces, so pint glasses, mason jars, or highball tumblers are also good options.
If you would like to adjust this recipe for a smaller glass, you can simply use less of our Find Wunder sparkling beverage. To fit the drink into a normal rocks glass or martini glass, use half the Find Wunder can. You can use the other half to make a second drink or just finish it off so your buzz starts before the mocktail is even ready!
Concerning garnish, we like to keep it simple with a little thyme and a blackberry or two. But if the tartness of the lemon fits your vibe, a lemon round on top is always wonderful. You can even add blueberries and raspberries on top for a mixed berry taste.
We highly recommend you don’t skip the sprig garnish, as when you take a sip, the thyme’s aroma elevates the overall flavor.
How to Pair it With Food
Some of our favorite food pairings with our Blackberry Bramble Mocktail are:
- Baked brie
- Any kind of cheesecake
- Almond pastries
- Peach or apple pie
- Steak with green vegetables and/or potatoes
- Grilled fish, such as salmon
- Roasted pork with apples and herbs
- Roasted poultry, such as turkey
- Lamb with mint jelly
- Hearty BBQ and steak sauces
- Fig and goat cheese pizza
And these are just some recommendations! The key thing to remember is that the flavor of this cocktail is strong, but also cozy and fruity.
The flavor profile holds up well when paired with rich meats, heavy herbs, and bitter flavors. We don’t recommend pairing it with very distinct but light flavors, such as dishes with tzatziki or red pasta sauce.
Our Blackberry Bramble Mocktail Recipe
- Prep Time: 20 minutes
- Cook Time: 5 minutes
- Total Time: 25 minutes
- Serves: 1
- Calories: 100
Ingredients:
- ½ cup white or brown sugar*
- Water*
- 3-5 sprigs of fresh thyme
- Handful of fresh blackberries
- 1 Blackberry Lemon Find Wunder
- Ice cubes
*Note: This recipe includes homemade thyme simple syrup. We find thyme simple syrup difficult to come by (and expensive) in stores. However, if you can find thyme simple syrup elsewhere, feel free to use one ounce of that and skip the first few steps of the directions.
Directions:
- Boil water. We’ll only use ½ cup, but you can boil a little more to account for the evaporation.
- Pour the sugar into a heatproof glass.
- When the water begins to boil and bubble, pour approximately ½ cup into the heatproof glass.* Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
- Add all but one of your thyme sprigs to the hot syrup, ensuring the thyme is fully submerged in the mixture.
- Let sit to cool for 10 minutes or so. You can also let it cool overnight if you’re practicing your patience.
- While your syrup cools, add most of your blackberries to a shaker. Use a muddler to crush them up lightly.
- Add a scoop of ice to the shaker on top of the blackberries. Usually, four cubes are enough.
- Pour your Find Wunder Blackberry Lemon THC Seltzer over the ice.
- Add one ounce of your thyme simple syrup, which should now have a slightly green tint.
- Gently stir the drink and then pour it into a Collins glass or pint glass.
- Garnish with your last spring of thyme, and plop a blackberry or two on top.
- Enjoy this juicy, zesty, fizzy mocktail!
*Note: Simple syrup is a 1:1 ratio of sugar and hot water. You can make more or less, but we find this is the minimum amount needed to cover the thyme sprigs adequately. You will have some leftovers, so you can make this delicious drink again!
